FAQ

Describe your photography style.
Our images are paintings made with light. Our style is relaxed, natural and colourful. By taking a photojournalistic approach, we endeavour to capture your event as it is organically unfolding. We focus on photographing the mood, ambience and the interaction of the bridal party and your guests. We care about those moments that may be overlooked whilst you are enjoying your day. We document the love story in its pure blissful present state. 

What is included in your packages?
Whether you book for Option 1, 2 or 3, you always receive an online gallery containing some highlights shots, along with your full collection of high resolution photos on a USB.

How do I know which option to select?
Book in for a free pre-wedding consultation for our team to tailor a package to best suit your needs and budget.

What if I need more hours on the day?
Closer to your big day, if you decide that you require more or less hours, you can simply advise our team and we will add or subtract hours to or from your package.

Do you travel?
Yes. We lovingly shoot weddings all over Australia and internationally. We charge a travel fee for weddings that are more than 20kms out of the Melbourne CBD.

Can I add an photo album option to my package?
Absolutely. Our team will discuss these options with you during your consultation.

How long does it take to receive our images?
It takes between 12 – 16 weeks to process your images in which you will be contacted and sent a link to an online gallery. You will be given all of your high resolution images on a USB and prints in person at your final consultation or alternatively they can be posted out to you.

When do I have to pay the whole amount?
The outstanding amount is due two weeks before the wedding date. We are happy to help with a payment plan.

Do you shoot with a second shooter?
Absolutely. We view your wedding photography as an investment and by having a second shooter it is a wise decision to protect it. We can include a second photographer for a flat fee of $499 in our packages pending on your request. It is a great way to give you the most important bonus of having a fresh perspective and more images. It gives us a chance to be in two places at once and an opportunity to get creative whilst one photographer is shooting one story and the second another.

What camera do you shoot on?
I lovingly shoot on a Nikon D5 with numerous prime lenses. I always take 2 cameras on a shoot as I am OCD and love the freedom that I have shooting with different cameras!

We are not comfortable in front of the camera, can you help?
80% of our clients are not comfortable in front of the camera. Upon your request, we are happy to direct you in a manner that you are comfortable. We highly recommend booking in for a pre-shoot before the wedding to help you prepare for your big day.

What is a pre-shoot?                                                                                                                                              A pre-shoot is a great way for your photographer get to know you, but it’s more important that you get to know THEM. Get a taste of their shooting style and learn how they direct you. One of the benefits of booking in for a pre-shoot before your big day is that it is a chance to let loose and get creative. Start with the location and pick a place that means something to you both. It can be where you got engaged, a first date or just a very memorable date, where you met (high school / university). Where ever you decide, make it mean something to you.

How do you feel about same-sex marriage?
Love is love. We all the right to get married and celebrate our love.

What are your policies on event changes, deposits, cancellations and refunds?
Please see the following:

  1. Event Changes. Photographer must be notified immediately of any changes in schedule or location, at least 7 Days in advance of the scheduled Event date. If Client notifies Photographer by phone, a written (i.e. email) confirmation must be sent within 2 days of such notification. If the date of the Event changes, and notice is not given the period specified above, then Photographer shall be entitled to the retainer amount as liquidated damages for having to reschedule the event. The retainer amount will need to be repaid upon booking the new date, subject to Photographer's availability.

  2. Deposit Payment. A non-refundable retainer (that shall be applied toward the total fee for the Services) at which time Photographer commits to being available to Client on that date (subject to non-payment, reasonable emergencies and force majeure events). In the event that Client fails to remit payment as specified, Photographer shall have the right to immediately terminate Agreement with no further obligation to refund money (including the aforementioned retainer), to attend the Event or to supply images.

  3. Cancellation / Refunds. Upon acceptance of these terms and payment of the retainer, Photographer shall commit to attending the Event on the specified date, and shall make no other reservations for that date. If Client cancels the Event entirely, then Photographer shall not be required to repay any of the payments made by Client.
